Belarussian State Pedagogical University is one of the oldest universities in Belarus which specializes in teacher training of mathematics, chemistry, physics, psychology, geography, history, languages and others for primary and secondary schools. Due to the traditions university combines academism, openness and innovations. Belarussian State Pedagogical University was opened in 1914 and since that time it has gained a good reputation and become a leader in the field of teacher training for its rich history. The higher education lasts 5 years and upon successful completion of training participants receive a diploma of higher education of international standard. The education is conducted in the official language of Belarus – Russian. Due to the international cooperation of the university, foreign students can also get their education here. There are possibilities of studying Russian at the preparatory programs and at the summer courses. Nowadays Belarussian State Pedagogical University is famous for its outstanding scientists and teachers, famous scientific schools and centers, high standards of professional and interpersonal ethics, the continuity of traditions and the possibility to transfer rich pedagogical and life experience to the younger generations. Since 2007 the University is a member of the Eurasian Association of Universities.
