Visitors entering Belarus need to fill in the immigration cards distributed to them at the airport and then have to register within 5 working days of entering the country. In case of staying at the hotel, these procedures must be done by the hotel administration, but it is necessary to check whether it is done or not. Our citizens who do not pay attention to this issue may face great difficulties in their exit from the country.


Citizens who extend visa and residence permits should reapply to the city’s foreigners branch (Ovir) to renew their residence permit before the visa period expires. After finishing the visa and residence period, the citizens who applied to Ovir for the first time have been given fines. When this situation is repeated, both the criminal proceedings are being applied by the authorities who are betting and also deported from Belarus.


Citizens who want to leave Belarus after the period of visa (the period of residence in Belarus) are forced to take an exit visa before the end of the period. Those who do not have an exit visa are not allowed to cross the border. The exit visa is not given at the border gates, and the person concerned is sent to the foreign police (Ovir) for the exit visa.


Custom border authorities in Belarus are not allowed to enter Belarus to those whose passport are worn out, wiped out, obsolete, damaged or have missing pages.

Foreigners departing from Belarus are obliged to report money amount without entering the red line at the customs gate if the amount of the foreign currency they have brought out of Belarus is above 3000 USD. A special permit is required to issue for amounts above 10,000 USD. If the amounts in excess of US $ 3,000 are determined on foreign nationals departing from Belarus without notification, the beatings are confiscated by Belarus customs authorities.
